The Bar Council are hosting their flagship Pupillage Fair on 17th October. Alas if you haven’t got your ticket for that yet, they are all sold out.
However, you can join online for a ‘Life at the Bar’ series of webinars, each night featuring two separate presentations. Have a look on their website for full details (and you will need to register in advance) but here is a brief snapshot of what is planned:

- Monday 12th October – Funding and support from the Inns of Court | Life at the family law bar
- Tuesday 13th October – Life at the employed bar | Life at the criminal bar
- Wednesday 14th October – Path to pupillage (How to use the pupillage gateway) | Life at the chancery and commercial bar
- Thursday 15th October – Applicants with a disability | Life as a civil law barrister
The first slot starts at 4:30pm and the second at 5:45pm.
As a sidenote, Quadrant Chambers are holding their annual Women at Quadrant Pupillage Workshop on the evening of Thursday 10 December 2026 in London. This will give attendees a chance to meet Quadrant barristers, understand their pupillage application process and pick up tips on pupillage applications and interview techniques.
The event is open to all but, in line with their commitment to diversity, they are particularly keen for aspiring female barristers to hear from some of their female Members of Chambers about life at the commercial bar and to see what they have to offer at Quadrant. The evening will therefore start with some short talks from a panel of female Members of Chambers about life and work at the commercial bar as a woman, followed by an interactive pupillage application/interview workshop.
