Celebrate Pro Bono Week at City (it’s next week!)

The 24th Pro Bono Week takes place between 3rd and 7th November 2025. This offers an annual opportunity to recognise and support the voluntary contribution made by the legal profession across the UK in giving free legal help to those in need.
Have a look at 20 amazing case studies of pro bono in action. You can see all the events taking place nationwide via the Events Calendar, and attend those being run by law firms, chambers, universities and various fantastic groups and organisations.
So is anything happening closer to home?
Yes! The City Law School have planned a special evening celebration of pro bono on Thursday 6 November 2025, 6–8.30pm. Hear from staff, alumni, and practitioners about the impact of pro bono work on their careers, and enjoy a networking reception with fellow students and professionals from the legal sector.

Programme highlights:
- Stories of impact from our clinics: CityCLAC, COIN, CitySES, the Innocence Project and IPP Appeals Service.
- Panel discussion with leading figures from firms, chambers, and our alumni network.
- Opportunities to connect with students, fellow staff, and our partner organisations over drinks.
Be sure to go and book your place!
Fancy volunteering during Pro Bono Week?
If anyone would like to volunteer as a Student Council volunteer for Pro Bono Week, the organisers would be pleased to hear from you, as they have a few available spots still. See the previous Lawbore post on this.
