Sir Peter Fraser delivered the Society of Legal Scholars (SLS) Hale Lecture on the 6th February 2025 at the University of Swansea. He took up his position as Chair of the Law Commission of England and Wales in June 2023.

Entitled ‘The Future of Law Reform’, inspiration comes from the fact that the Law Commission celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Sir Peter gives some background to the creation of the Commission, before embarking on his vision of the structural reform to its Constitution required, and then finally outlining the six principles he feels should guide the Commission going forward.
