Excited by Law & Technology? Essay competition announced…
The Society for Computers and Law (SCL) have announced the title for their annual essay competition:
“Are state legislation and case law, or Internet Service Provider action, more important to the enforcement of rules on Internet users? Discuss with respect to key internet platforms’ Terms of Service and privacy policies.”
The winner would be lucky enough to receive the following:
- A free place at the SCL Annual Conference on Thursday 27 September 2018 at the IET in London (SCL will provide a maximum £250 contribution to the cost of travel and accommodation)
- Publication in the SCL’s Computers and Law Magazine and on the SCL website
- £250 cash

Free membership for UK students in full-time education: SCL provides free membership for UK students in full-time education with a valid ac.uk email address. SCL student members are also eligible to attend SCL events at concessionary rates. UK students in full-time education can apply to join SCL for free by emailing sarah.forster@scl.org
