The charity, whose aim is to increase the delivery of free legal advice to individuals and community groups in need, are looking for a project officer for their Choices and ALLIES projects.

Requires a commitment of 24 hours a week.

LawWorks Choices brokers pro bono opportunities for lawyers who are unemployed, on a career break or retired, and has developed the Guaranteed Interview Scheme, for which volunteers are eligible in relation to suitable published vacancies once they have completed 40 hours of pro bono work. The postholder will liaise with law firms, lawyers and the voluntary sector to broker opportunities and support the GIS. The role will also involve providing administrative support to the ALLIES project which encourages lawyers to become school governors. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised and ideally have some knowledge of the legal profession and/or the third sector.
