Competitions and events – don’t miss out!
There is still the chance to apply for the Future Legal Mind Essay Competition – top prize is £5000 plus some work experience, with 9 runner-up prizes of £250. The deadline has been extended by two weeks until February 1st.
“By extending the entry deadline, we’re hoping that talented students who struggled to complete the entry process during the busy period of Christmas and New Year have an extra bit of time to put together their essays.”
To be in with a chance of the prize, entrants must submit an essay no longer than 1,300 words, with the winner published on Lawyer2B.com.
City students have been successful in this competition for the past 2 years, with Lukas Hamilton-Eddy winning in 2015 and Tom Phillips in 2016. Lukas and Tom were both GDL students at City.
“If eBay can resolve 60 million disputes each year, why does the UK civil justice system need lawyers?”
