Registration now open for the LSE-Featherstone Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Moot
A real treat in the mooting calendar – this competition is now open for registration. Then it is a case of checking out the problem and getting started on the skeleton argument.
The Featherstone competition is dedicated to the consideration of areas of sexual orientation and gender identity law and is now in its 8th year of running! Alongside the associated networking event, it brings bring together LGBT and ally students, campaigners, practitioners, and members of the judiciary. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet people working across the field.
Important dates
Registration is open until 5pm on the 2nd February, skeletons are due by midday on 11th February. If you are selected for the oral stage of the competition you will then compete at LSE on 23rd and 24th February.
Staff at City with expertise in this area
Grietje Baars and Alexander Maine both write and research widely in this field. They should be able to offer informal guidance to teams if given plenty of notice. Just drop them a line!
And don’t forget to let us (Frank Zhang, Director of Mooting & Emily Allbon, Lawbore Editor) know if you get through to the oral rounds! We are always excited to hear of your progress. Good luck everyone!
