Top politicians, journalists, legal experts and  media freedom advocates will be speaking at City St George’s this week (5th and 6th March) about the threats facing journalism around the world.

Speakers include Emily Thornberry MP,  Baroness Helena Kennedy,  Mark Stephens CBE, Minister Chris Elmore, Sir John Whittingdale MP, and representatives from major media freedom organisations like UNESCO, OSCE, Reproters without Borders, and many more. As well as journalists: Christina Lamb (Chief Foreign Correspondent, The Times),  Carole Cadwalladr (The Nerve),  Liz Gibbons (Exec Editor, Global Eye, BBC), Sergiy Tomilenjo (President of the National Union of journalists of Ukraine).

The Forum is hosted by the Centre for Journalism and Democracy, which will have an external launch event at 4.20pm Thursday 5th March, as part of the forum, followed by a drinks reception.
