Irwin Mitchell are once again running a mentoring scheme for City students (eligibility – LLB2 and LLB3 BAME background) and applications are now welcomed.

This exciting 6-week mentoring programme is a unique opportunity for BAME students in their second or third year of the LLB to gain professional insights, build confidence, and receive one-on-one mentoring from legal professionals at Irwin Mitchell. Only 30 places are available, and successful applicants will be matched with a dedicated mentor.

To apply for the programme, just complete the application form (found on Lawbore Opportunities) and email to J-P MacNamara (Associate Dean for Enterprise, Engagement and Employability) by 5pm on 10th October 2025. Bear in mind successful applicants will need to attend the launch event on 21st October @ 6pm at TLG11 (Law School Lecture Theatre).

DWF have also launched their 2025/26 Mentoring scheme. This Top 20 UK Law Firm are offering placements on their mentoring programme to 2^nd and 3^rd year LLBs AND postgraduates from the City Law School. Please note there is an error in the poster to the right.

The mentoring scheme will provide students with access to a trainee solicitor, who will offer practical support, guidance and encouragement.
