Irwin Mitchell are once again running a mentoring scheme for City students (eligibility – LLB2 and LLB3 BAME background) and applications are now welcomed.

This exciting 6-week mentoring programme is a unique opportunity for BAME students in their second or third year of the LLB to gain professional insights, build confidence, and receive one-on-one mentoring from legal professionals at Irwin Mitchell. Only 30 places are available, and successful applicants will be matched with a dedicated mentor.

To apply for the programme, just complete the application form (found on Lawbore Opportunities) and email to J-P MacNamara (Associate Dean for Enterprise, Engagement and Employability) by 5pm on 10th October 2025. Bear in mind successful applicants will need to attend the launch event on 21st October @ 6pm at TLG11 (Law School Lecture Theatre).

DWF have also launched their 2025/26 Mentoring scheme. This Top 20 UK Law Firm are offering placements on their mentoring programme to 2nd and 3rd year LLBs AND postgraduates from the City Law School. Please note there is an error in the poster to the right.
The mentoring scheme will provide students with access to a trainee solicitor, who will offer practical support, guidance and encouragement.
