This competition, organised by the team at Speed Mooting, takes place online via Zoom on Saturday 28th June 2025, running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 

It is open to:

• Law undergraduates and graduates
• Non-law students
• GDL students and graduates
• Master’s, BPTC and LPC students and graduates 
• Those yet to start their legal studies. 

Entry is also open, at the discretion of the organisers, to others who may not fit into those categories. Get in touch if you are not sure.

This is a competition focused on advocacy, with a strong emphasis on persuasive mitigation. It’s a great chance for students to sharpen their legal reasoning and courtroom skills in a supportive, realistic environment.

There’s also something extra to aim for: the winner will receive an iPad, and the runner-up will be awarded a £100 voucher.
